Nuture your child's love for animals and nature with Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium's Zoo Troop programs. These programs use the Zoo as a classroom to encourage children of all ages to investigate, play and learn through hands-on activities and exploration.

Register for a Class
Classes for children up to 3 years of age. Pre-registration and payment is required. An adult must accompany the participant. The registration cost covers one adult and one child. Prices reflect the discount member rate.
Stride into a world of discovery with a fun story to start your adventure then, walk, talk and learn about specific animals. Don't forget the stroller! Registration fee is $8 and includes one adult and one child. This program is geared toward toddlers ages 1 - 2.
What Was That? - April 6, 10:00 - 10:45 a.m.
Hoot, growl, quack and hisss! Animals seem to have a lot to talk about. Let's stroll through the Zoo and see if we can talk like animals.
Oh Baby! - May 4, 10:00 - 10:45 a.m.
Help us welcome some brand new faces to the Zoo. Did you know animals have babies too? Learn how different animals raise their young.
Hands On - June 1, 10:00 - 10:45 a.m.
Touch and feel your way through this adventure as we explore bones, furs, feathers, fruits, leaves and bark.
Zoo Clues - July 13, 10:00 - 10:45 a.m.
Get out your detective hat and magnifying glass as we search for clues. From scat to animals tracks, we will investigate critters around the Zoo.
Gather your gear and join our explorers program for 2 to 3-year-old children. We will uncover a wide variety of topics including colors, patterns, shapes, habitats and biomes. Imagine the discoveries that will be made!

Are naked mole rats really naked? Join us as we discover interesting facts about this little pink creature.
My Colorful Zoo – May 11, 10:00 - 10:45 a.m.
Have you ever seen a blue frog or green bird? Fill your world with color as we discover colorful animals at the Zoo.
Noisy Zoo – June 8, 10:00 - 10:45 a.m.
Bark like a sea lion, roar like a tiger, and howl like a wolf as we explore the noisy world of animals sounds.
All the Ways that I Love You – July 20, 10:00 - 10:45 a.m.
Animals show love by taking care of their young. Come and discover the many different ways animals show they care.

Join us for an interactive adventure as we explore baby animals. See just how cute these babies are and learn about a few adaptations that these animals make to survive.

There are so many animals to discover at the Zoo, but first you need to find them. Come find out how snakes, turtles, tigers, and other interesting animals are experts at camouflage. Just watch them disappear!
Jr. Zookeeper –July 27 27, 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.
Learn what it takes to care for animals at the Zoo from the people who do it every day.
Zoo Troop Pounce programs are for children ages 5 - 9. Pre-registration and payment of $18 per child per session is required. Prices reflect the discount member rate.
L.I.O.N. Zoo Troop is a new series-based class where children learn to understand and respect the world around them through exploration and up-close animal encounters. Kids will be challenged to work together, get outside and have fun!
Our Blue Planet (ages 5 to 6 years) - April 7, 21, 28 10 a.m.-Noon
Explore the water that covers over 70% of our Earth. Children will learn about fresh and salt water, and discover the life that lives within it through hands-on activities and animal encounters. Jr Keeper (ages 10 to 12) – April 14, May 12 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
Did you know there are nearly 20 different crews that care for the Zoo animals? Join us for this series-based class as we explore many of these areas. Pride programs are for children ages 13 - 18. Pre-registration and payment of $25 per session is required unless noted otherwise. Classes are from 9 a.m. - Noon unless noted otherwise. Prices reflect the discount member rate.

Family Zoo Adventures are geared toward families with children. Pre-registration and payment of $16 per participant. A minimum of one adult and one child is required ($32 total). Prices reflect the discount member rate and may vary based on event offered. Questions? (402) 738-2092.
Breakfast with the Bunny - March 24 or 31, 8:00 a.m.
Families, join us for a very special egg hunt and breakfast! Kick off the fun with an egg hunt in the Bay Family Children's Adventure Trails. Then, enjoy breakfast and a meet-and-greet with a real bunny from the Zoo and a few of our egg-laying friends. It will be an eggcellent time!
Member cost is $25 for children and $20 for adults. Non-member cost is $30 for children and $25 for adults. Child ticket price includes egg hunt and an early pass to Children's Adventure Trails before the Zoo opens. All children will need a ticket in order to participate in the egg hunt (infants excluded). Adult and child ticket prices include a full breakfast.
